A veterinary health certificate is required for horses valued above R100,000, or when specifically requested by us during the underwriting process. The vet certificate confirms the horse is in good health and free from known conditions at the time of policy inception.
Cover is subject to vaccinations being current. All insured horses must have up-to-date African Horse Sickness vaccinations as a policy condition. Claims relating to AHS may be declined if vaccinations were not current at the time of illness.
